Isn't it ironic...

It's been raining non-stop for about two weeks, towns and villages are flooded up and down Gloucestershire, the roads are closed, the trains can't run...

And they're going to turn our water off!

The pumping and treatment works which supply Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and Gloucester is flooded and is being shut down, it could be off until Wednesday.

It's good to see that people seem to be demonstrating common sense and not panicking though - apparently the police are having to guard supermarkets in Cheltenham and Gloucester to ensure the "situation remains calm".

Luckily for us, we have about 16 litres of bottled water in the garage which has been hanging around for ages (can't remember what we bought it for) but it seems to still be in date, which is nice...
